Photo Session With TheUppermost
Last year, I was blown away when I saw Yua’s postwed pics. When she first mentioned TheUppermost, nothing came to mind since I never heard of the name before but judging Yua who’s a perfectionist, I thought it won’t be bad. I didn’t expect the pics were that good! I really love all their works. I contacted the photographers, Sigit & Tito, and told them that I was interested in a photo session with them. In fact, I already gave the down payment late last year fearing that they will increase the price
We didn’t get to have a photo session until kids’ school holiday in June. I forgot when it was exactly. Early July if I’m not wrong. We decided to have it in Kota Bunga. Well, that was the 1st and last time I am going to have a photo session out of town. The traffic was crazy! We left the house very early in the morning. Met up with Sigit, Tito & Norma (the makeup artist) in Kemang McDonald’s. It was already 8am. It wasn’t until 9am when we finally left Kemang since we had to find the guy who sells balloons to fill the balloons we bought with helium.
It was jam all the way. We finally reached Puncak around 12.30pm. Had lunch and Norma did my makeup while waiting for the food to arrive. I forgot the name of the restaurant but the food was pretty good…recommended by Sigit. It rained while we were eating but stopped as soon as we were finished. Kids and I were hoping to take pics under the rain actually and Sigit has already bought the rain cover the day before. Too bad -.-
It was past 2pm when we reached Kota Bunga. Had to pay a certain fee to be able to take photos inside. Indonesia….damn!!! Everything is about money. Anyway, we spent only 2 hours inside. Forgot to bring extra clothes to change so we wore the same attires throughout the session. Tired but we did have fun. Sigit, Tito & Norma always fooled around which made the whole session a great one.
Sent them back to Kemang but dropped Norma near her home on our way there. It wasn’t until past 9pm that we reached home. Note to self: never go out of town during school holidays even if it’s weekdays. When I woke up the next morning, Tito already posted several pics on Facebook. It marvels me how they can make a boring backdrop into something so beautiful. I highly recommend them…..I am sure, you will be satisfied too at the outcome of the pics. They are great people with down-to-earth personalities. You won’t believe at how humble they are. I can go on singing praises for them but of course, just reading from my side isn’t much proof. You have to go to their fan page in Facebook and see the testimonials from people who had their pics taken with TheUppermost. More or less, yeah, I am already speaking on their behalf
I will be posting a couple of the pics but if the editing makes u think “Geez….that’s amateur work! My 3-year-old kid can do that!” or “Is she being bribed to promote them? I can easily edit this with my eyes closed!”, that’s because it was me who edited them *smiling sheepishly* The pics that Sigit and Tito edited were the ones they put up in FB and Sigit sent me the CD with tons n tons of the unedited ones which I received last week. So, let not these edited pics fool you. You can take a look at their photos in FB to see what I mean. I hope if they get to read this entry, they come to forgive me for making them look bad lol but hey, at least I am honest and make it clear before hand

New Hairstyle
Like I mentioned earlier, I decided to change my hairstyle. awhile back. The hair is still long, but with a fringe. Felt really strange when I first looked at myself in the mirror. I was afraid that it would make me look like I was trying too hard to look young lol… I kinda like it better this way though coz I somehow feel tidier with this hairstyle. Luckily for me, Susan brought along her DSLR when she invited kids and me for a birthday dinner in Pasta De Waraku to celebrate Jovanna’s 9th bday. Am posting it here to share. If u think I look fugly or weird, do tell me. I welcome all kind of comments.
